A question that I am being asked more and more of surrounds the use of hypnosis with weight loss. More precisely the use of self hypnosis in achieving that slimmed down look that we want.
A couple of famous sayings are, “we are what we think” and “we are what we eat”. This is the essence behind the brain wave technology in the concept of weight loss. There is a growing focus on people being overweight and the desperate efforts that they are going to in a bid to be slim. Various diets are being touted as the next big thing and the real meaning can be found in the first three letters of diet.
To diet means to die.
When dieting it all too often means we eat next to nothing, which results in under nourishment of the body. There are numerous dieticians and doctors around the world recommending pills and specific foods in the battle against obesity every day.
This is where the saying, “we are what we think”, starts to be significant in the fight against obesity. We put on a little weight and our clothes start to feel a bit tighter, and after that we look in the mirror, and we feel despondent at how we look. This creates a vicious circle of eating, feeling unhappy, and then we eat again as a comfort, continually repeating the cycle. Before long we are thinking we are fat and no matter what we do we can’t change who we have become.
This is where we need to be able to change the way we think about ourselves so that we can move in a positive direction of addressing the underlying issues. It is the negative connotations that we have dreamed up that are stopping us from losing the weight we have put on.
Brain wave technology changes the programming of our minds and releases us from that spiral we are in. The priority of these recordings is to have a healthy body. When listening to these recordings we are bound to start feeling confident about our physical self. Releasing those negative feelings that have kept us trapped allows the process to happen naturally.
